It's free, it's available, and (in debian) it might be veeerryy stable (should be stable in ubuntu also).<BR/>Maybe you can save some bucks. Also, ubuntu has a boot-from-cd version, (I don't know if with this version you can run the cinelerra) but maybe you don't have to install the linux in your windows system to put it to work, you only have to have an FAT32 disk partition to share the result files betwen both Operational systems.<BR/><BR/>Regards!
