ReplyDeleteI loved this one. The only problem I had with it was Quicktime kept freezing on me if I would try to skip ahead or pause it. It's the first video to do that. Other than that, outstanding.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I certainly didn't expect this one to be a bestseller, but hopefully it appeals to a few. I've always striven for variety, even if it means that I publish the occasional clip with limited appeal. I actually considered publishing two videos this weekend because I knew that a lot of regulars would skip this one, but what with everything involved in planning yesterday's festivities, there just wasn't the time.

I liked it, but I recognize that my interests aren't typical of the others here. Ever since college, when a male/female team got shut out at beer pong and both had to run around the entire block naked, I've loved games with humiliating consequences, regardless who loses. (Later the same night, it was me streaking around the block.) I like the co-ed games the best.

I don't want to get overly dramatic here, but all this past forfeits done by any side was no more than embarassing, this one involved physical pain and speaking as someone in the health care field was down right dangerous. I have literally seen serious blows to that area cause death. There may be some fetishism here that some people may like, but I personally think you bottomed

But physical injury or infliction of pain to anyone is always wrong, and as you always say Red that you try for realism and this was not faked, then you should have known better regardless of what the players involved agreed to. I have never posted here before and may never again, but I felt I had to speak out on just how wrong this video was.
That would be episode #018, first published on January 4 2008, the first shoot I did with a high-definition camcorder. Now I use four... my, how times have changed.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the expense... at the time I published the clip C4S had much stricter requirements on minimum prices based on clip lengths. They're looser now, but when I tried to edit the clip (just now) to reduce the price to be more in line with current prices, I encountered a technical glitch that prevented me from doing so. I'll email C4S and ask if they can fix the glitch.

ReplyDeleteAnon, thank you for posting and I understand and appreciate your concerns. I do think that saying that "infliction of pain to anyone is always wrong" goes a bit too far. We've seen some pretty hard paddlings, after all... although I'm not aware of anyone who has died as a result of a paddling.
There was some risk involved, yes, but then again, you take a risk getting up in the morning, crossing the street, or sticking your face in a fan. Simon was a good sport... if he'd actually refused, I don't think Addie would or could have forced him.

I also felt this forfeit crossed the line from friendly competition to being a bit mean spirited. I don't know how hard the kicks were but I can't imagine it felt too good. Spankings, even hard ones, are more embarrassing than painful. Hopefully future games will result in only feelings being hurt.

I am more in favor of the clips that don't have a hard edge to them. I like the ones that have:

Clothes destruction as in the Snip videos. I think you could probably sell even more copies of these if the clothing was nicer. Some second hand store sell nice prom dresses that would be nice to be seen cut off a contestant.

I probably was one of the few who purchased the wet clothing set since you have not done another one. I really enjoyed that although the shirts did not get as transparent as I thought they would.

I'm in the minority in that I prefer the co-ed games. I think the losers are more embarrassed to be naked in front of the opposite sex (even though I know there may be people of the opposite sex behind the camera, it's hard to visualize).
