Status report FAQ
I get the feeling that a lot of you are growing impatient, so it's time for a status update.
What's the status?
Goin' fine, thank you.
So will we see some content soon?
Nope.
Why not? What's the delay?
Four things: Editing. Game software. Website design. Commerce.
Why haven't you gotten cracking on the editing?
The tool I used to edit the video (Adobe Premiere Pro) was a trial versions which has long since expired.
So, buy it!
Not that simple. Premiere worked like ass on my Windows Vista computer, repeatedly crashing. Adobe has a new version coming out soon, but it's not available yet.
Oh.
And it's eight hundred dollars.
Yikes!
It looks like an improvement over Premier Pro 2, which isn't saying much. But it's still a capital investment I've been avoiding making.
Premiere sucks.
Yes, I know.
You should use Final Cut Pro.
That would involve buying a Macintosh and reacquainting myself with Mac OS, an even larger investment of capital and time. Eventually I'll either do that or contract my editing work out, but for now, with revenue at zero, I'm going to be doing this on the cheap.
Okay, what about the game software?
The software for the one interactive game I produced during the donations period was done in the trial version of Macromedia Flash. That too has expired.
So, buy it!
Not a chance in hell. I wouldn't sentence Jeffrey Dahmer to a lifetime as a Flash programmer.
Okay, so what's the alternative?
Microsoft's Silverlight, which is insanely better. But it's only in alpha right now.
So to recap, you can't launch until the new version of Premiere premieres and the final release of Silverlight?
Yes.
But that's terrible!
Yes, but good news for donors: there will be an alpha and beta phase, and you will be invited.
But I didn't donate!
And don't you regret it now?
Okay, what about website design and commerce?
Again, I pretty much have to pay out-of-pocket for these things... or write my own commerce engine, which will take awhile. These too have contributed to the delay.
What's this I hear about the site costing $1,000 per year?
I haven't announced any details regarding pricing yet, but it won't cost $1,000 per year. That was a misunderstanding of me saying that I, personally, would be willing to pay $1,000 a year for high-quality English stripping game content and I doubt that I'm the only one. That doesn't mean I'll charge $1,000 per year.
But it's going to be expensive?
That depends. There will certainly be a moderately-priced subscription... let's say, ten dollars per month. For this price, you will receive: ten dollars per month worth of content. That does not mean that after the site has been around for a year, you can pay ten dollars and receive access to the entire year's worth of content. That means you get ten dollars worth of content per month.
But what if I want access to the previous year's content?
That's fine. You can pay to "catch up" and add all the old content to your subscription.
But I don't want to pay!
Tough titties for you, fishface. When my site launches, with its reasonable pricing model, you will pay for what you'll get. But you'll get what you pay for.
Don't you have any good news?
Yes. I'll be announcing a surprise in just over two weeks. It'll be a good surprise; you'll like it.
Also, I have good news for donors: in addition to admission to the alpha and beta phases, I'm going to make an effort to produce more donor-only exclusive preview content. Keep your eyes open.

Meet the new players -- for real, this time
Ah, I love it when a shoot comes together. As always, click on the thumbnails for a brief video promo.
We start with the voluptuous and redheaded Wednesday:
Yes, her name is Wednesday, yes, like that girl from the Addams Family. Unlike Wednesday Addams, though, she's well-endowed and curvy, just the way I like 'em. Next up we have Ashley:
This is not to say anything bad about any of the other girls who've played at LostBets, but Ashley probably ranks higher on the Cuteness scale than anyone since Mia. Special bonus! If you donated during that particular experiment, send me an email to receive the unedited raw footage for this promo, including a giggly-cute reaction to a blown line. And if you think she's cute doing that, wait until you see when she loses a game and as a penalty has to... well, I wouldn't want to give away any spoilers. It'll be worth the wait, though.
And finally, we have Victor:
Go ahead and click the image, it's safe. You won't regret it, I promise.
