Man, I really hate Strip Memory.
Well, that's not completely true. Actually, I love Strip Memory. It doesn't take too long to play... usually. The clothes can come off in any order, which is nice. And it's (mostly) a game of skill. There's not many two-player games that fit all three of these.
But editing and postproduction, what a pain in the ass. I really need to have some cards printed up that are visible from the camera, and/or set up a second camera pointing at the cards, so I don't have to add in those little overlays anymore. Sheesh.
Anyway... this week's update is posted. Enjoy.

I think if the loser of this game had more attention for the game, she could easily have won ;-)
Better luck next time for her.
Oh yes, that reminds me of something else I dislike about Memory: having to restrain myself from leaping out from behind the camera, grabbing a girl by her pretty little neck, and yelling in her face, "You've already turned that one over four times! FOCUS!" :)
Well, while I agree, at least you can take solace in the fact that the videos turn out amazing...the memory games are definitely my favorites :)
Thanks, anon. I like them too (editing headaches notwithstanding)... like I said, there aren't too many two-player games of skill that make good stripping games. (Battlestrip is another, and it's coming soon... it's another game that will require some creative postproduction though and I'm still not sure how I'm going to do it.)
I know I say this a lot (and at this point, I know I say that I know I say it a lot a lot) but the compliments really mean the world to me. So, thank you, and you're welcome. You keep buying 'em and I'll keep making 'em, and hopefully things will only keep getting better.
(This probably goes without saying, but while I appreciate the compliments, I also appreciate constructive criticism, so while you're welcome to keep on telling me what a great job I'm doing, don't hesitate to also tell me what I'm doing wrong, and what I could be doing better.)
I wish there was a way you could find out who won these games. Maybe using spoiler text like the one a few months back so it doesn't spoil it for those who don't want to know. It's just that, personally, sometimes I'd be more eager to buy these if I knew which girl I got to see naked at the end.
Duly noted. I'll see to it that future games have hidden spoilers. I may at some point go through and edit past games to include spoilers as well, but until then, if you want to know how any particular game comes out, email me and ask.
The Strip Memory are my favorite as well. Thanks for doing another one. I was going to suggest making the cards larger so they could be seen by the camera thus reducing your post editing work.
What I think you can do is to create 3 sets of cards in 3 different colors. This way you can reuse the cards. You have had up to 3 girls play at once and then somehow mount to the wall or board that is up against the wall and have the ladies need to turn the cards over and reattach. You might be able to use felt and velcro or something. A side benefit is that this would be another standing game that will expose the ladies a little more rather than a sitting game where they tend to cover up. Hope this helps because I would like to see more of them.
I do not know if you have access to a pool table but there is a game called cut throat for 3 players where each people has 5 of the balls. The goal is to sink the other players balls, not your own. The last player with balls on the table wins. Of course as each ball is sunk off comes some clothes. For 2 you could just do the standard 8 ball with just stripping or the 8-ball could be for the forfeit.
Let me know what you think of my ideas and keep up the great work.
gb
Hmm. A pool table. that would be bad 'cos the naked girls would have to keep bending over the table, and we wouldn't know where to look.
gb: If I make up Memory cards, I'll definitely make more than 3 sets... the expensive part is in the setup costs, once that's taken care of printing dozens or hundreds will be cheap. And that way, I can have lots of different colors for the girls to choose from. Anyone with graphics design skills feel like drawing me up a set of cards with clothing icons?
Pool would be a good game (and Cutthroat especially) if I had access to a pool table, which at the present time I don't. I'm thinking it might be a cool idea to rent a bar, with pool, air hockey, and/or foosball, if I could find one that'd be willing. The other problem with pool is that it's really not fun to watch if the players have no skill at all, so I'd have to find girls who know how to handle a cue stick.
I definitely like the idea of doing "vertical" memory, with Velcro or some other way of sticking the cards to the wall. I'll see what I can do. Thanks for the ideas, and keep 'em coming.
Hey Red, I've noticed that you seem to like some of the tasks related to making this site happen more than others. I was wondering if you ever considered delegating some of your less favourite tasks to someone else. For example, maybe you can get a film technology student from a local college to do some of your editing for you (or something along those lines). It may take a bit of training to get the results to your liking, but eventually, you'd have more time to focus on the stuff that you do like (like shooting the games). I bet that with the kind of material you're dealing with, you may even get that student to work for free (especially if said student gets a shot at being the 2nd camera person at your shoots). Imagine not having to do all the tedious editing stuff anymore... :). Just a thought.
Ice cube was good but might be better if she was lying down so she would not squirm as much and the ice cubs would stay on by gravity.
When winter comes around again loser could roll in the snow.
Ideas are comming fast and furious, but when trying games try dry runs first so players can get the hang of what ever skill they need to play the game.
Jack,
Duke: I've thought about it. But honestly, don't take me too seriously when I moan and complain like a whiny little bitch about the work I put into this. Usually, I just need to vent a little, and most of the time I quite enjoy this work. It's true that I like some parts more than others, but the parts I like least are what might be termed the "business-y" side of things. And as soon as I bring in an employee, the amount of business paperwork crap I have to deal with goes up a huge amount. I-9s and W-2s, payroll tax withholding, Social Security and Medicare, ugh. I'd rather undergo dental surgery. Even if the employee were working for free, there's a whole new set of legal issues that comes into play.
Which isn't to say I might not eventually bring in an employee or two. But for now at least, I don't need one. But I do appreciate your concern for my enjoyment of this job :)
Jack: Having the girl lie down for the ice is a good idea, I'll give it a try when next I have the chance. We don't get a whole lot of snow around here, even in the winter, but I'll see what I can do. (While Elizabeth, Julie, and Lily were playing, we did have that freak April hailstorm, and two of the girls did threaten the third with the hail during the High Card forfeit.) And doing dry runs of some of the games, especially the more complicated ones, is also a good idea which I'll put into practice. Thanks.
Oh... so it's the "business-y" stuff that you like the least? So, I guess you'll need to find one of them double-major film and commerce students, that can do your editing and then also take care of their own W-9's and I-2's and stuff ;).
My sneaky student detector seems to have picked up some activity lately ;p
Is it possible we may have a double-major film and commerce student around perhaps..?
Anyway, I second the idea about spoilers of the outcome of the games.
Another idea for the ice thing, might be to place two large flat ice cubes on the floor and have the loosing girl place her breasts on them while the winning girl gets to sit on the loosers back to pin her down, while rubbing her with ice cubes in the meantime.
Maybe put in a preset time that the looser have to endure this, or for the big kill, simply letting the winner decide how long she wants to keep the forfit up.
That way there would be both a bit of restriction, some interaction / begging between the girls, and before long, a quite nippy ending ;)
All good does come in three's afterall.
These are forfeit not tortures.
I do not want too see us going anymore than friendly forfeits.
Let us not get too elaborate.
My two cents.
Jack.
of course.
It was all ment to be in a playful tone, and agreeable upon for the girls. of course its your choice in the end though if you wanna use the suggestions ;P point taken.
It's not his choice whether to use the suggestion, it's mine :P
And I'll see what I can do. Who would've thought there would be so many creative uses for ice?
As for "forfeits not tortures"... as a matter of fact a number of people have asked for forfeits that were a little harsher, that humiliated the loser more. And I'll see what I can do there, too. As I've repeated a zillion times, one of my main goals here is variety. (I am going to include more hidden spoilers so nobody needs to see anything he doesn't want to.)
Red,
Just a quick question.
What is the going rate of pay for your game volunteers?
Would you believe the girls are all volunteers, playing simply for the love of the game?
Yeah, I didn't think so. The short answer to your question is "probably more than it needs to be." Since making money has never been my main motivation in doing this, I don't keep a very close eye on the budget, and it's much more important to me that my girls go home happy than it is to keep expenses at a minimum.
There's no simple answer to what the "going rate" is... I compensate my girls different amounts depending on how long they're around and what they're willing to risk. I've also occasionally made a girl's reward depend on how many games she wins. If you don't mind (and even if you do) I'd prefer not to talk about actual dollar figures... that's a private matter between the girls and me.
